Miss Michigan Rima Fakih competes in bathing suit portion of the Miss USA 2010 pageant, Sunday night, May 16, 2010 in Las Vegas, becoming the first Arab-American to win the beauty pageant. Fakih was later crowned Miss USA 2010. A 24-year-old (Rima Fakih) Arab American from Michigan beat out 50 other women to take the 2010 Miss USA title Sunday night, despite stumbling in her evening gown. Rima Fakih has attracted much attention since she won the Miss USA competition. Firstly conservative bloggers are having a field day because she is the first-ever Muslim to win the beauty pageant.
