2010 Cannes Film Festival Line Up Announced

A few weeks ago it was announced that Ridley Scott’s adaptation of the English classic Robin Hood would kick off this year’s Cannes Film Festival on opening day. Now the rest of the film slate has been revealed and it features a slew of talented directors and highly anticipated films that will all make their debut at the prestigious event. Along with Scott, several other big named filmmakers will be showcasing their work including Oliver Stone, who will be on hand to premiere his upcoming sequel Wall Street Money Never Sleeps. Among the films mentioned you’ll notice that Terrence Malick’s Tree of Life doesn’t make an appearance on the list. The drama was rumored to debut during this year’s festival but it doesn’t appear in any of the competition or non competition categories. According to Cinematical, the Festival organizers are “still waiting to screen a tighter, newer cut from Malick before they make the final decision there.”
