News Roundup: HBO Apologizes To George Bush, Poster For ‘Why Stop Now’ And More

This week, HBO apologized to former President of the United States, George W. Bush for featuring him on a Game of Thrones episode. Let’s just say he was looking a little dead…and beheaded.  Also, gossip monster TMZ missed a precious and rare opportunity to question director Terrence Malick while the reclusive artist was accidentally filmed on the street. We’ve also got the poster for Why Stop Now with Jesse Eisenberg, Melissa Leo and Tracy Morgan going nuts. All that and more below.

  • Pop Pilgrims: Do you fancy yourself a pop culture know-it-all? Well, then Pop Pilgrims is for you. The A.V. Club just recently launched the premiere of the second season of its travel web series Pop Pilgrims. The first episode focused on Wes Anderson‘s Rushmore. The crew traveled to St. John’s School, the filming location of Rushmore Academy and also the place Anderson prepped at, to interview all sorts of subjects.
  • George Bush’s Head: In case you didn’t catch it the first time around (none of us did by the way) George W. Bush made an appearance on Game of Thrones. Yup, his decapitated head was all up in there. Now, according to Collider, HBO has apologized for sticking the former president’s head on a stick and is pulling Season 1 from stores.
  • TMZ Missed Terrence Malick: Earlier this week TMZ caught Benecio Del Toro on the street. The paparazzi grilled him with nonsense questions about Cuba, but they missed a rare opportunity. Terrece Malick was with Del Toro and the papz totally the chance to ask him questions.
