Lindsay Lohan treated by paramedics after she was found unresponsive, she’s ok

Lindsay Lohan treated by paramedics after she was found unresponsive, she’s ok

Lindsay Lohan
It seems like there are multiple stories every day about Lindsay Lohan’s delusions, lies, and the very dangerous scrapes she’s been getting into. As terrible as it is to say, I was just thinking this morning that she might overdose soon. I know that sounds awful, and I in no way wish for it to happen, but a lot of people have her on death watch. The more serious problems she has, the more you wonder if she’s going to have a fatal one soon.

So we just heard that paramedics were called to Lohan’s room at the Ritz Carlton in Marina del Rey at around 10am this morning. Apparently “someone found her unresponsive,” according to TMZ, and called 911. She wasn’t hospitalized, and her people are using the old standby excuse for all celebrity drug issues: “exhaustion” and “dehydration.” They’re also explaining that she was either filming from 7pm to 8am that day or for 2 days straight, depending on which outlet they told the story to. Like every catastrophe Lohan gets into, other key details about the story have changed over time, including who found her and how this came about.

I think TMZ has the most complete “official” side of the story, so I’ll quote them for now. Even TMZ, which is firmly team Lohan, admits that their story has changed on who called 911. (Note their update, which suddenly involves Lindsay asking for help prior to this. Her rep’s statement never included this important detail.) E! has yet another “official” version, or maybe they have a quote from her camp along with a source at the hotel. Either way, the story is of course different from the version they’re selling to TMZ and People. Here’s TMZ’s:

Paramedics rushed to Lindsay Lohan early today after she was found non-responsive at a hotel by the ocean in L.A.

Sources tell TMZ … Lindsay had been shooting almost non-stop without sleep for 2 days and was staying at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Marina del Rey to get some shut eye. She has been shooting parts of her movie near the hotel.

We’re told someone became alarmed because they could not wake her up and the person called 911.

Paramedics responded, and determined nothing was wrong with Lindsay. They left without transporting her to the hospital.

Lindsay is back on set shooting her Lifetime movie, “Liz and Dick.”

As far as we know, Lindsay did not go to the hospital herself.

Update: We have more specifics. We’re told Lindsay wasn’t feeling well after complaining of exhaustion, she called someone from the “Liz and Dick” production team early this morning, and the team sent a private doctor to check on her. Before arriving, the doctor called the hotel and asked someone to check on Lindsay. Someone from the hotel went to her door, “checked on her” and determined she was “unresponsive.” The hotel then called 911.

Lindsay’s rep says it was someone from the production team who called 911.

[From TMZ]

People Magazine has Lindsay’s overworked rep’s statement on the matter. Steve Honig said:

“She was on set last night at 7 p.m. and worked through the night until 8 a.m. this morning. She took a nap before shooting her final scene. Producers were concerned when she did not come out of her room and called paramedics as a precaution.

“Lindsay was examined and is fine, but did suffer some exhaustion and dehydration.

“She is resting now and is hoping to be back on set later this afternoon.”

The thing about how this was Lindsay’s final scene to shoot, do you think that it became her “final scene” after they had this drama with her? I mean, it doesn’t seem like she’s been on set long at all. She totaled a car last week and now she’s treated for “exhaustion” and all of a sudden she’s shooting her “final scene.” I’m thinking this comeback is going to be short-lived for her. Unless she gets the addiction treatment she so obviously needs. Not that it will work at all given how many times she’s been in rehab, and I don’t think any of them were willingly.

  • Lainey has a great analysis.

LL wanted to take a “sick day” and have a long weekend. The production company sent a doctor to check her out, but when he tried to call ahead of time she didn’t answer the phone or door. She essentially got caught playing hookey to work!

    • I don’t think so. I think she was drinking and drugging. And, I believe they couldn’t wake her up. May God bless her and put someone in her life that will get her the help she needs before she kills herself or someone else.

      • +1. Good post. Sure she’s a hot mess, but people need to stop dancing on her grave when she’s still (sort of) alive. Yeah she’s spoiled and f*ucked up, yeah she’s a liar and a user and I wouldn’t drink out of her cup or sit on a toiletseat after her, but look at the parents she was given to learn her life example from! I don’t like her at all, but I really hate the bully cult of glee and ridicule that publicly tries to torment this addict over the edge so they can sit on their fat do-nothing asses in front of the tube afterwards for a month or so to watch the cable freak shows analyze Why Lindsay Died So Young.

      • This whole incident screams of someone who was high on heroin or some sort of opioid. The unresponsive sleeping/nodding off is very typical of those who use heroin. If they had left her alone she may have gone into respitory failure.

Report this comment as spam or abuse

    • I don’t believe that either and agree that she was likely abusing drugs or alcohol… With her history, why would anyone release a story that she was found unresponsive as an excuse? She wants to portray herself as being healthy and clean right now.

    • I don’t know why anyone would trust a Lainey “analysis”. She is totally full of shit

  • This asshole. Why would anyone hire her? She’s fked up so much and someone is still willing to give her a chance and she’s fking it up again. I watched Mean Girls the other day and was reminded that she used to be charismatic and somewhat talented and now look at her.

    Go away.

  • Next up, the producer on the show will write her an open letter about her irresponsible behavior, that had cost them outrageous amounts of lost dollars everyday production was halted, because of her late-night partying…

Déjà-Vu. Lather, rinse, repeat. The idiots are the ones who keep hiring her expecting a change in her habitual behavior.

    • So very true. This is what they get for giving her a fifty-seventh chance.

And this is the thanks she gives everybody who is still “rooting” for her.

    • Agree! Words fail me. I will never understand why her mother doesn’t step in, like Britney’s dad did and get her adult child some sort of help. They are all delusional in thinking that Lindsey is a functioning human being. She needs help..plain and simple. Why are they standing by and letting this young adult kill herself without even trying to get her the help she needs is beyond me. She’s a walking time bomb. I wish her no ill will. My wish is that she is taken out of the limelight and put into long term treatment.

I personally don’t think LILO has much money at this point. If she did, why would she be doing a low budget lifetime movie? Which I don’t think will ever come out.

And in case you’ve missed it, she has been making money in other ways eg pap pics, magazine shoots, playboy, that ad thing in Italy, plus other types of income probably paid in cash or goods in kind but which certainly had one gentleman’s wife riled up and Lindsay had to vacate the nice hotel room when wifey flew into town from india.

  • Wow. The hatred towards Lilo on this site is more toxic than anything she’s ever taken.

Report this comment as spam or abuse

    • It’s not hatred, it’s exasperation. She’s had soooo many chances when we all know damn well that there are so many other young and budding actresses that deserve a chance more than she does. She’s ruined her looks, she has a bad attitude towards others and is just all around mean and spiteful. It’s exasperating to the point of inciting anger at the amount of chances she has gotten.

Report this comment as spam or abuse

      • This exactly. She’s been given more chances than I can ever remember any actor in Hollywood getting, yet she’s a horrible, undeserving person â€" arrogant, delusional, at least borderline sociopath, no work ethic, wouldn’t know truth if it slapped her in the face and lets her most important asset in Hollywood â€" her looks â€" get completely ruined as if she couldn’t care less. She expect just to be able to party 24/7, let her looks go to seed, mess everyone about, act like an utter douche to everyone and STILL get parts rolling in â€" because she’s Lindsay Lohan, now move that cone. As I’ve said here before, I certainly don’t dislike her because of her drug and alcohol problems alone, those things are just like the mouldy frosting on Lindsay’s cake of nasty.

Just think about all the pretty, competent young up and comming actresses who would have loved a little role like in Liz and Dick as an opportunity to get their foot in the industry door. Unfortunately I believe it’s in part Lindsay’s delusional pseudo-self confidence that keeps landing her these undeserved breaks â€" which just contributes to her problems like a vicious cycle.

Report this comment as spam or abuse

    • Bullshit. She’s taken so many substances over so many years that the only thing toxic to her is a lack of attention.

Report this comment as spam or abuse

      • So are you angry at her behaviour or are you angry at her for taking drugs? There’re plenty of people who cause harm to others who don’t take drugs and there’re plenty of people who do take drugs and don’t hurt anybody. Taking drugs in and of itself isn’t a reason to heap scorn on someone.

Report this comment as spam or abuse

      • Chris, I’m angry at her for her BLATANT DISREGARD for LIFE. If she wants to kill herself, that’s fine; it’s her choice. But the fact that she CONSISTENTLY and CARELESSLY puts OTHERS’ LIVES AT RISK IS INTOLERABLE. (I’m not shouting here, I’m emphasizing.)

      • @the original bellaluna: OK. As long we agree that it’s ok for people to take drugs if they’re not hurting anyone else. What I’ve noticed on this site and indeed society in general is that if people mess up they get criticised but if a known drug user messes up people think that they have carte blanche to say whatever they like about them no matter how dehumanizing the comments.

And, I also feel like the people closet to her refuse to recognize just how ill she is and aren’t getting her the help she needs. I’m worried for her. It’s no joke..one only has to look at her and see that she is mentally and physically ill. I feel sorry for her.

Are you out there giving support to the dump truck driver that she hit? The two people that she hijacked while endangering others in a high speed chase through red lights? The store owner she stole from? What about the baby carriage that she hit in a cross walk? The multiple women she has assaulted in clubs? The list of her victims has gone on and on and on.

Report this comment as spam or abuse

      • @Tiffany Agree! The only support Lindsey needs at this point is moral support. And, by that I mean HER MOTHER getting her into treatment and helping her to get to a point to where she can have some sort of life. And, I think she is too far gone mentally to ever work in the industry again. She just needs to go away and get better. That’s the only support she needs! IMO

      • @deep â€" her mother is one her biggest enablers. The stories of how she picked her up from rehab only to go to a bar to celebrate together are infamous.

Also, her mother is in deep, deep denial. She was telling Matt Lauer that her daughter had no drug issues nor was a law breaker even as Lindsay was being sent to jail and the doctors in jail/rehab were confirming her drug issues

        Dinah Lohan has no shame.

I am sure we all started where you are now, hoping she could find help but without sounding callous, it is pretty clear that Lindsay doesn’t deserve our pity nor does she think she needs help and is hell on wheels for people around her.

    • It’s definitely exasperation. If you look back a few years ago a lot of us used to feel sorry for her.

I’m starting to feel sorry for her again â€" same reason basic reason as before â€" she is the spawn of Michael and Dina Lohan.

However, before it was that I thought growing up Lohan caused a lot of her issues.

Now I’m sick and tired of her being coddled by the system and her hangers on but I feel sorry that there is no one close to her to step up and take responsibility for her.

She is obviously in the same or even worse shape than Britney but no one cares or no one is capable enough to do something about her.

Who knows, maybe it will for the Cracken. It’s probably unlikely though with the parents she has. They’ll probably just get her a ghost writer to write about how she was unfairly imprisoned -_-

  • I doubt she will do that Canyons movie. She’s caused too many problems for these Lifetime folks.

But I would not be surprised if this was her final scene. I mean it is a Lifetime movie after all. I doubt they take very long to shoot. But even if it isn’t. She’s probably done all of the principal shooting so they can just get a stand-in to do any final touches. I really get the sensation LiLo was a pain to work with and I get the feeling she was so much trouble and gave the insurance for the film so much grief that she is now essentially uninsurable.

@Kaiser I don’t wish death on anyone either but at the same time when I look at Lindsay all I see is a wounded animal going through life. Sometimes, no matter how many times you try to heal that wounded animal, they are still suffering and eventually that suffering has to end whether that suffering ends sooner or later. It’s sometimes sad to see suffering go on for so long (see: Courtney Love). Take that as you will.

    • as odd as it sounds that’s a very interesting take….she is obviously in severe emotional pain, addictive/addict pain and pain from having no on in her life who TRULY loves and cares for her…no one!

don’t we all here have at least ONE ambassador on our side? One!!!

it’s her choice though, unlike a helpless animal, she has a choice to live and not ‘euthanize’ herself with drugs, alcohol, etc.,

it is truly all up to her, if she wants to live or not, BUT it might help if she had at least one stable, sober, non-egomaniacal, money grabbing, whore/whoreman.

    • LeeLoo, it was interesting what you said about her being a wounded animal- I definitely see your point. She has been given countless chances and just doesn’t GET it. There’s no way that she is unaware of the opinions of her and the help that she needs, but she doesn’t and hasn’t taken the genuine steps to get better. I feel like all the attempts at rehab and whatnot were complete bull in order to help her image. She doesn’t seem to feel remorse for any of her actions or want to get better. Who knows what it would take to give her a wake up call.

  • I agree with Lainey too. How hard is it to shoot a movie. Celebrities are always complaining about waiting around set. She could have taken plenty of naps. And even of they did shoot two days with long hours, so what? She’s 25 not 85. Plenty of non celebrities have been sleep deprived for two days (including new mothers) and they don’t need doctors and paramedics. This girl is so so lame and up her own butt. Her ego is way way way too big. That’s why she has all of the problems she has. What a loser.

    • Seriously. My boyfriend is 21 (only 4 years younger than her, jeez) and he works in the film industry. His days typically range from 10 to 14 hours, and he’s always manages to make it to work the next day. He recently did the 48 hour film festival and literally did not stop working for two days straight.

I asked him how he does it and he responded “When you really love and enjoy what you’re doing, you’re willing to put in that extra effort.”

Clearly, Lindsay just doesn’t care anymore. She just wants crack money.

  • Exhaustion & dehydration = drunk & strung out. I’ve been a Registered nurse for nearly 9 yrs now & I’ve never heard of any1 admitted to casualty for exhaustion. Must be 1 of those illnesses that only celebrities get.

    • Sorry I’ll take that back. I remember when we treated a young girl for exhaustion once, after she ran a 26 1/2 mile marathon.

    • Not exhaustion, but both I and my son have been admitted to emergency for dehydration in our lives (not at the same time). In his case, it was post-fever and he was passing out every 30 min over a 4 hour period. I’d told him to drink lots of fluids, but in his fever-deluded state he only imagined he had been drinking any water.

Not that I believe this excuse. I’m in the entertainment industry, and I keep long hours. I’ve worked 72 hours without sleep. I’ve never had to go the hospital for it, nor have any of my coworkers. The thing about exhaustion is it’s not a mystery why you’re feeling off and it isn’t like it sneaks up on you. You feel it building up. This is supposedly why they have a trailer nearby, I imagine, to catnap.

      • Yeah, I’ve been dehydrated in the past (food poisoning), and the doctor stuck me on a cot and put me on an saline IV. They kept me there until my heart rate was back to normal. If Lindsay were actually dehydrated, I think they’d have taken her to the hospital, because dehydration is extremely serious.

      • I was actually hospitalised for a week whilst pregnant with my daughter (morning sickness from 4 a.m. â€" midnight). I lost 17 lbs in 3 days and my body temp was 92 degrees. I was on fluids and electrolytes (DAMMIT, DOES POTASSIUM EVER BURN!!), covered in heated blankets the entire time. And it took 3 visits to the ER within 48 hours to finally get admitted.

        THAT’S dehydration, my friends!

Report this comment as spam or abuse

      • I was talking about exhaustion not dehydration. I’m aware that dehydration is very serious & I’m not making light of people who’ve suffered with it. Also I know that a marathon is 26.2 miles not 26 1/2 miles as I’ve run several myself. It’s just easier putting it in thoses terms when your trying to explain to the average layperson.

  • Lindsay appears to be a late stage addict so, yes, if she doesn’t get the proper help she needs she will die soon. She hasn’t hit rock bottom yet. Rock bottom is different for everyone, and for some it is death.

A common misperception is that addicts go to rehab and are either “successful” or they relapse and are unsuccessful thus not really trying. Research in addictions over the last 15-20 years indicates that relapse is common for addicts, and many will struggle and relapse for the rest of their lives, particularly if crack is involved. It doesn’t mean they aren’t trying.

As for Lindsay, her mother should be ashamed. She is a major enabler and she is the one person who could save Lindsay’s life. Lindsay needs constant 24/7 supervision from her mother until she gets into long term residential treatment (1 year+). Unfortunately, her mother is too narcisstic to realize that without her intervention her daughter will die.

Sometimes people need to hear the word “no” once in a while.

I’m convinced the ONLY thing that would help is a stiff prison sentence. She’s been to rehab a billion times. She needs to go RDJ style and go to prison, not jail, prison. Let’s hope that happens before she kills someone other than herself.

It seems like something Dina Lohan would do; after all, she really only cares about her daughter for her income potential…

  • Um, you know I go back and forth on Lindsay, you know?

When I first started commenting on this site (about a year ago) I leaned waaaaaaaay over to the left in supporting her. I said things like “She’s got no proper parental guidance”, “She’s an addict who needs help” and “She’s a former child star and 99% of child stars go off the rails without proper mentoring and support as they grow older”.

But then everybody jumped on my comments and told me what a self entitled, narcissistic sociopath she was and I started to see her in that light.

But over time, the pendulum has swung back and landed somewhere in the middle. Yes, she is all those bad things. Out of control, dangerous, completely lacking in empathy and likely to cause someone’s death in the near future.

But now I can see that she is in SOOOOOO much pain. I relate to that.

I have been a big drinker/smoker/recreational drug taker since I was 14 years old and recently (Im 37) Ive had a MASSIVE epiphany.

I have given up smoking (and by default, drinking). I have adopted a raw food diet. I have taken to going on long, rambling walks with the dog. My skin looks great. Ive lost 5 kgs.

Anyhoo, my point is this. I have gone through a great deal to get to this point. But I’ve ALWAYS had the love and support and guidance from my awesome dad. And I’M 37!

I can’t help but look at her and go, “Goddamn, if that mother of yours had half a brain, she’d be encouraging you to turn your back on Hollyweird and take time out”.

EVERYBODY needs mentoring, guidance and support their whole life. Imagine if you had none. Imagine if you were surrounded by a bunch of sycophantic enablers your whole life? And even though I’m not religious at all, I think “There but for the grace of God go I”.

well done. Your post was very encouraging. It shows that no matter how hard it is addiction is still possible to kick . I had an uncle with severe addiction issues as well. You name it he had it. We always gave him unconditional support & tough love a few times. He’d get better then relapse. Unfortunately he didn’t overcome his issues & is now late. The one thing I got from him constantly is the regret & digust he always felt for himself.. Addicts really don’t like what they do. They just can’t help themselves. I made a decision to stop making fun of Lindsay & i usually don’t click on stories about her.. It’s sad to see so many judgmental people on here

  • Not funny anymore, if it ever was. It’s just extremely tragic. How on earth her mother hasn’t taken control of this situation, I have no idea. I realize she’s an adult, but not only do her parents not even try to get some kind of control, they seem to actively participate in and enjoy this crap.

It is easier to feel for Britney, because it seems like she’s inherently a good person and her family came through for her. But Lindsay is the more pathetic case, imo. To be out there on your own, that screwed up, without any parental guidance is just a travesty. I rarely say this, because I know parenting is hard, but her parents should be so ashamed.

Report this comment as spam or abuse

    • Yeah. It really isn’t as funny as it used to be. I think it’s because she is so deep in her addiction that while she and her family may be in denial about her health and her addictions the rest of the world sees a dying person.

Whether she finds sobriety or not. I just hope Lilo can find peace. I hope she can find it before it is too late and take responsibility for herself.

And it’s so unlikely that Lifetime pushed her into “working” 48 hours straight, she must have been following her usual pattern of drinking or drugging instead of getting enough sleep like any sensible person would on a tight movie schedule. Good grief, she just had to abstain for two lousy weeks. But you’re right, everybody involved needs to be aware that problems can show up later â€" Lindsay, her god-forsaken assistant, and the dump truck driver. The truck wasn’t so big that the driver would be unaffected, and unlike Lindsay et al., he had no warning. Doesn’t take much of a jolt to cause damage.

  • Do recent events with Rihanna and Jason Russell (the film maker behind the Kony 2012 film) ring a bell??

-’treated for exhaustion and dehydration’ this is code talk (so, Dr. Drew says!) that celebrity camps and publicists use to cover up something much more severe from a severe alcoholic hangover, drugs, or both . Or But I trust Dr. Drew’s word more than LL’s camp.

-who else was recently treated for ‘exhaustion and dehydration’? Rihanna after being sent to the hospital for dehydration and exhaustion. Everyone else thought it was after a raging party (alcohol) the night before.
and Jason Russell, who was found naked, masturbating and deliriously walking about San Deigo, again, treated for ‘exhaustion and dehydration’ I forgot what his bigger issue is.

Like I mentioned. Dr. Drew covered these stories in full. Of course celeb’s don’t want their dirty mental health/alcohol n’ drug abuse laundry out to dry so ‘exhaustion and dehydration’ are the excuses.

I too suffered dehydration and exhaustion, it was after taking a flight from LA to Sydney, Australia on New Years Night with a gang of friends! OF COURSE we were guzzling down champagne, wine, etc. and when I hit the 100′ climate of Australia, I had the WORST hangover. Not enough for a hospital visit…

    - I can’t see that they have finished up filming Liz/Dick, all the photo’s we’ve seen are of her and some guy running amok a yacht via early 1970s garb. How can they possibly go on? It’s barely mid June and look at the monkey-ness already eating that set alive!!

-And found unconscious??? COME ON!!! I assume most of us can recall a raging hangover from a RAGING party the night before but as bad as the hangover I had it never sent me to the hospital NOR did I slip into unconsciousness!!! (Gatorade, air conditioning and a good nap did the trick)

-WOW. I wrote a very sober comment a few days back after the car wreck accident that…

1.) we can expect chaotic behavior from LL literally EVERY other day if not week

2.) she is seriously, and I wasn’t pissing on her, SERIOUSLY going to end up killing someone….or herself…

  • I grew up in a family riddled with addicts and alcoholics, and let me tell you, Lindsay’s behavior is nothing new to me. People really need to STFU with their judgements and what have you. Yeah, she’s immature, and yeah, she needs to get her shit straight. But in order to do that this poor girl needs love and support. Not tough love, and certainly not ass-kissing yes-(wo)men. She really and truly needs people who will listen and be there for her and love her. It is so fricken easy to hate on her, but when you look beneath the tabloid trainwreck, there is a girl (not a woman, a girl) who is hurting. A human being with very real emotions and very real problems.

Have some compassion people! Not everyone is mentally healthy, and not everyone has had a great upbringing. Yes, she’s had a lot of chances, and yes, she SHOULD see how much of an advantage she has over your every-day normal joe addict (finances for rehab, connections to get proper help, being let off easy by the courts so she could get help and not turn into a worse mess, to name a few) but when you’re at the bottom of the well that is abyss of addiciton, none of that stuff matters. Please, have some compassion for the girl. Addicts can’t always see the error of their ways. It’s ridiculous, but still tragic. I’ve lost loved ones to addiction. They weren’t losers. They were beautiful people who became lost in ugly and evil substances.

Maybe Lindsay is a terrible person. Maybe she’s a saint in waiting. We don’t know. But what we do know is that there is a fellow HUMAN BEING out there who is suffering, very publicly. And if it were any one of you I wouldn’t throw stones. Give the girl the love she so desperately needs. Real love.

    • The problem with Lindsay is that she is in that addiction phase where if you give her any sort of compassion she is going to take advantage of it. If you have family members who are addicts you know what I am talking about.

I may only be speaking about me but I doubt it. I think despite some of the snaky comments many of us are actually secretly rooting for her to eventually come around. However, I am a realist who knows she may never get better. I am also annoyed at the constant chances Hollywood has given her when she has done nothing to deserve them. She has a horrible attitude despite the drug addiction. She has shown the public nothing but entitled behavior. She has not done anything worthy of having any sort of success. At this point while I still hold out a tiny sliver of hope that she will come around, I think the main purpose is to just make sure she doesn’t harm anyone else that is found in her path.

I get her â€" I’ve had my own struggles with drug abuse â€" but sometimes you need to be realistic about what you are looking at. The realist in me says that the chances of her getting better grow slimmer every week. It’s sad but that isn’t going to stop me from commenting on these stories. I won’t be cruel like some on here are but I’m not going to abstain and I will too judge her. I’m not going to enable her or coddle her in my comments. You of all people should know how dangerous that is. People will judge addicts especially when they’v shown utter refusal to sincerely deal with their problem.

      • See, this (right here) is a major part of the problem with how people react to her: She’s had more legal AND rehab opportunities to turn her life around, yet she chooses to be BLATANTLY DISRESPECTFUL of everyone around her. (If she had even a MODICUM of humility, my feelings toward her would soften. BUT SHE DOESN’T!)

        * 5 trips to rehab (that we KNOW of), and not a single serious commitment to staying clean and sober;

        * NUMEROUS legal problems and court appearances, and she’s STILL f*cking up on the regular;

        * Special treatment by both law enforcement AND the court system (YEAH, I SAID IT), and she’s consistently shown a blatant disregard for both (“fu” fingernail, anyone?).

People don’t FEEL empathetic towards her because she’s NOT an empathy-friendly person. She has consistently shown an AMAZING (if not delusional) sense of self, with regard to everything from alcohol/drug abuse to court dates to set/shooting schedules.

Just allow your mind to consider, for a moment, the SHEER NUMBER OF PEOPLE her delusional self-entitlement has effected: ALL the people it takes to make a movie happen, from Herbie and Georgia Rule to now; ALL the ones whose trials/court appearances have been pushed back due to her lateness arriving; ALL the people who had to hang around court (or in jail) waiting for her to put in a LEGALLY REQUIRED appearance (court reporters, deputies, attys, judges, etc…); ALL the people she’s car-jacked and/or hit plus their loved ones; ALL that time and money of the PD, FD, and paramedics who have to respond to all her messes…if you added up all those people AND all the money wasted on her, I think the amount would make me physically ill.

This is NOT someone about whom people feel sympathy, nor even empathy. I don’t wish her dead (there’s only 1 or 2 people I feel that way about, and by whom my family and I have directly been damaged); but I’m not wasting my emotions on someone who honest to God just refuses to give a f*ck, either.

    • Currently there are millions (possibly billions) of people strugging with some form of addiction. Many celebrities struggle with some from of addiction. Most of these people aren’t narcissistic assholes who don’t give a good goddamn how their behavior affects other people.

My brother is an alcoholic but he’s kind to other people. My uncle was an alcoholic and he was kind to other people. My friend was a junkie but she was kind to other people. Lots and lots of entertainers are alcoholics, junkies, sex addicts, into the bad shit, into the really bad shit, into shit so bad we can’t even comprehend it’s existence and they are still kind to people.

Lindsay is an arrogant, obnoxious douchebag who treats people like shit. Lindsay doesn’t care about anyone but Lindsay.

Also, ditto to Bellaluna’s post. :)

  • This is probably her normal routine- to get drunk & either coked out or pop some pills to escape reality. She doesnt usually work, so its no biggie. THIS is why she isnt going to be making any “comeback” She can’t put on the front of a functional person for more than a few days at a time. If the most important thing in her life is whatever substance will alter her reality, that’s what she’ll pursue, even if she has to turn tricks to get it. If she wanted to be a professional actor, she’d do what she needed to to be good enough to hire. She’d get clean, sober, and work on whatever personality disorder she has. But she won’t. If she was going to, she would have by now. As bad as Amy Winehouse was, at least she admitted the extent of her problems instead of implausible crack denials. Liho is going the same way, all the while insisting she’s just fine, you guys. It’s all a misunderstanding & not her fault!

  • This girl is going to die. It’s not funny and it’s nothing to “count down” or bet on.

  • Maybe the photos of the crumpled Porsche provided her parents with a needed shock. They must realize their first-born really could have died that day. Notice that both have been uncharacteristically quiet, other than a few early mumbles.

    • LiLo’s parents caring, sadly probably not.

She was cursed by genetics to have two narcissistic parents who are in denial about their own problems, never mind LiLo’s.

  • Why did they have her working through the night? That’s an inhuman schedule and can mess with a person’s psyche. Given that info, I think it’s more likely she was in deep sleep and could not be roused.

    • That’s not inhumane, that’s the movie biz. Night scenes are filmed at night due to the lighting. That’s something everyone on a production has to deal with. At least actors get plenty of breaks, downtime, naptime, etc. The production crew actually works most of the time they are on the clock. I wonder how many of her production crew had to call in due to exhaustion….

  • Everyone has pretty much already said all there is to say. But this, (quoted from TMZ) caught my attention.

“Paramedics responded, and determined nothing was wrong with Lindsay. They left without transporting her to the hospital.”

My dad has been a paramedic for more than 25 years, I’m familiar with (at least in passing) a lot of procedure. After being unresponsive for ANY length of time, the paramedics should ALWAYS take someone in that condition in to the hospital. They don’t know what’s in her system, or if she has a head injury like a concussion (especially after the accident).

I just can’t believe trained professional paramedics would finally manage to wake her up, then just LEAVE as though “she’s fine”, then they lived happily ever after. You can suffer a concussion that doesn’t make itself known for a few days, or even a week later. Usually nausea, headaches & exhaustion… are tell tale signs.

But I guess Lilo can’t rely on those signs, given that they’re the same symptoms of her hangovers. She’d only notice it if she were to stop drinking.

    • OK, so we can add those paramedics to the list of her enablers.
