Kristen Stewart wears Reem Acra to Rob Pattinson’s Cannes premiere: lovely?
I knew that Kristen Stewart would at least show up for Robert Pattinson‘s big Cannes premiere of Cosmopolis, but she did more than just turn up and do her infamous eye roll. Kristen probably looks better here than I’ve ever seen her look before! She donned a red Reem Acra gown and looks unbelievably sexy here. In fact, Kaiser and I have both been sitting here and admiring how perky her boobs are in this dress. Did you even realize that KStew had boobs before she wore this dress? Probably not.
Bright red lipstick and glammed up hair and minimal accessories really set off the whole package, and while Kaiser doesn’t really like the lace detail on the sides and back, I do for very unexplained reasons.
But KStew didn’t walk the red carpet alone. Her escort was Tom Sturridge, also known as Rob’s BFF and Sienna Miller’s baby daddy. I guess Tom makes a good enough escort despite the scrunchie. God, I wish he’d just cut that thing off.
Kristen looked so good at this premiere that I almost forgot that she didn’t even star within the movie. So let’s check on Rob and his co-stars, shall we?
Sarah Gadon wore a strapless, royal blue Jason Wu dress with a black waistband. It was kind of meh, but so is Sarah. As for Rob, he pulled some excellent faces on his way into the theater.
Of course, there were lots of other gorgeous ladies on the red carpet, and several of them gave Kristen a run for her proverbial money by wearing red dresses as well. Some were more appropriate than … others.
Natasha Poly probably thought she was bringing it in this trashy-looking scarlet cutout dress, but she looked like she was begging for attention. Did she realize that the leading man’s girlfriend would also be wearing a sexy red gown? Probably not, but Natasha overdid it in a big way here.
In contrast, Beatrice Rose did better in red than Natasha did. She made a statement but didn’t go overboard.
Julianna Margulies didn’t look like a showoff at all in red in this Reed Krakoff color-block dress. Even with a strapless gown, Julianna manages to somehow look demure.
Next came a sea of greens and blues for several other ladies in attendance.
Doutzen Kroes wore this slightly ugly sequined Elie Saab gown with a black waistband. Her purposely messy hair and flawless makeup redeemed her look somewhat.
Lily Donaldson looked really cute in this green number. She’s an effortless beauty.
Finally, we have Aishwarya Rai in a midnight blue, embroidered Elie Saab couture gown. She is pure class and looked amazing.

Playing coy, making comments that are contradictory to the actual state of affairs, acting like they’re above it all…when really they’re apart of it all. They’re their own worst enemies when it comes to generating gossip and pap madness. You cannot honestly pretend that you’re a private person when someone like Jessica Lange can separate from Sam Shepherd 2 years ago and no one knew. Privacy can be achieved. It may be harder than normal, but I think the first step is not perpetuating the maddness. They’re together…so what? I mean they’re not that special in the grand scheme of things. Whoever was advising them play this game needs a slap, it makes them both look stupid.
I wondered if it was a showmance at first, I’m sold they’re together for now…but if they continue to act like this I’ll either go with friends with benefits or showmance. Make sense?

Yes, because Jessica Lange and Sam Shepard get the same amount of press attention as Rob and Kristen…. not really a good example there.
There is no charade happening. They are trying to find their way in a difficult environment. No matter how they handle their relationship they would be criticized by someone somewhere. I find them very sweet together, and have really enjoyed seeing them together in Cannes.

Fair enough, Lange and Shepherd are definitely not a good example but I’m sure you do see what I mean. After Cannes, I’m not going to be entirely surprised if they go back to pretending they’re just friends. They quite obviously do not deal with this in the best manner, if they’re being advised to act like two petulant teenagers then they’re idiots for listening. Act like adults for crying out loud, yeah it’s unique situation to be in but surely when everyone knows you go on holiday together, adopt a pet together etc etc it’s just easier to actually act like a couple rather than whatever it is they pretend they are. Like we’re all stupid. They’re not the only celebrities who met on set and started a relationship…hell Brad and Angelina handled their shit better and that involved a marriage breakdown. Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, Nick Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. This isn’t solely on Kristen, in fact Robert saying “We will be a couple when the sun turns black†or “I haven’t been on a date in a long timeâ€â€¦this is on him not her.

I think it is more of an avoidance thing so as not to have to talk about each other frankly. And when they had multiple Twilight movies left to film/release, I could understand why they didn’t want to appear to be using the relationship to sell the franchise. Now that Twi stuff is ending, they are starting to act like a “normal†couple. Unique situation with the Twi series.

he said “the sun goes black†while doing promo for……ECLIPSE. Like it was his way of not wanting to even talk about that subject and trying to direct back to the actual movie subject at hand.
Like I don’t really get why people even quote him from interviews to either prove or disprove their relationship â€" he talks out of his ass most of the time, making jokes.
I think they are dating, but maybe it wasn’t serious at one time or exclusive and so there was no reason to open that can of worms.They seem tight now though, I think they are together and don’t mind using their little mini-power couple status to create buzz for their indie projects.

I gave in and watched the infamous “kiss-video.†I wish I did not because then I would have still been under the impression that whatever is going on is somewhat real. But it was creepy and Patz was so drunk and he shook her like a bag of potatoes. It all got me very sad.

The dress is a knock out and I now have serious boob envy. But the hair and make-up are sub-par. The lipstick only emphasizes the inadequate lips and the hair is a mess.
Also, she needs a personality transplant. No one should look that miserable when they are that rich and have an ascending career.

I think she is a horrible actress. I think she has a bratty, know it all attitude. I think she whines and complains too much, BUT…..
I think she is one of the most unique young actresses out there today. She is gorgeous with any hair style or color.
And finally she looks more grown up now. I never thought I would ever use the word sexy to describe her, but she looked sexy in that red dress.

Meh, one of the best dresses she’s worn lately for sure, but everything else about her is bland. And her hair never looks good. :/ And why does she always look so…I don’t know the word. She always has dead eyes and a gaping mouth. Plus bad posture.
I think she looked even more unhappy after she got booed again. So far, her Cannes debut has not been very successful.

dude, I get not liking her. She can be annoying. But trying to create an alternative universe where she failed at Cannes is just weird.
Her movie got mixed reviews. But she’s largely gotten positive notices from the critics who matter(Variety, THR, NYT). Her styling has been more feminine and softer, and she’s been one of the most covered and sought after starlets at the festival. I mean the only reason she got booed by paps was cause she was limiting her posing for paps, which was appropriate while promoting as an ensemble with OTR, and walking a red carpet that is not your own. They wanted a single shot of her without Tom Sturridge and she waved off the requests because it was a rude request to ask.

From what I understand, they were upset because she only posed for like three minutes in one section while she gave another section of photographers more time…Not a big deal, and apparently they do it to a lot of stars if they feel they are given insufficient time. Also, I agree…what’s with this weird alt universe where Kstew is not doing well…She’s been getting some fantastic reviews for her acting…Hell, Kaiser even pointed it out in a previous post that she and Hedlund are getting a lot of kudos for their acting despite the film getting mixed reviews, and she dislikes Kstew. I get disliking a celeb (for me, it’s Aniston) but to deny the facts, like critical reviews that can be easily googled, is silly.

She should have given more than 3 min to photogs. Patz came 30 min earlier and spent 15 min on pictures to give a maximum publicity for the OTR. Sturridge seemed fine with stepping aside, so I don’t understand what’s the big deal that justifies her refusing to mouth-breath for 10 mins.

she got booed because she didn’t give in to the photographers, this night wasn’t about her, that’s why she didn’t sign many autographs, or take individual pictures, who cares if they booed her, she still looked stunning, and stole the thunder of Sarah and the other ladies from the movie

The humidity has to be pushing 800% out there! Looking through photos from the last few days I’m consistently seeing caked-on makeup, frizzy or limp hair, shiny skin, and sort of strangely wilted fabrics. But these may be the best photos I’ve seen so far.

Tom Sturridge looks like some sort of ‘elf’ creature from a fantasy movie…
Kristen. My first thought was: “I wonder if she was trying to blend into the red carpet.†Red looks good on her, but she probably should’ve picked a different shade, so as not to disappear into the carpet.
Makeup, upon seeing the close-up Lilly provided, is prettier than it appears in these shots. Hair is a mess, but could be the humidity, to be fair.
It’s just.. Her expressions. I’m the *last* who’d defend her (she annoys the hell out of me), but I can’t help wondering if she’s trying to do some ‘vogue’ model look (heavy lidded eyes, no smile, looking disinterested), & just… failing spectacularly.

I think Kristen goes thru what I know happens to me when I’m trying on soooo many designer creations when i slip that “one†on and it feels & looks so good and natural to me it shows & I shine like a superstar.

The fifth picture, where stew embraces stu on the famous steps is my favorite picture of Cannes 2012…And btw this is Edward and Bella as Stephanie Myers imagined it. Hardwicke thought that Tom is too old to play a 17 y.o…So, what would have happened if Tom did get casted? Well, I think that Tom is more skillful than Rob but Rob is more charismatic. So, there probably would not have been fanatic following, Stew would have still met Patz (since they were inseparable with Tom), Patz would have anyway gotten a smaller role â€" like Volturi or some insignificant international vampire, and finally Patz would not have been hovering on the verge of the nervous breakdown…I don’t like Twi and Twies but am absolutely fascinated with the casting story behind it.

I’ve always been curious about who would have gotten the part if Stewart hadn’t been recommended to Hardwicke. I thought the girl who played Becca Crane in the Vampires Suck parody was spot on in her KStew impersonation and still managed to out-act her.

I think she was adequate in the first movie… But, same as you, I can’t justify lack of character development from her side, monotone acting and her dreadfully limited acting arsenal. well, enough about stew, she is not that interesting to talk about.
