Arnold Schwarzenegger is Back in Movies, Is Terminator Next?
Heâs back! Now that Arnold Schwarzenegger, has wrapped his stint as the governor of California, he can focus on more important things â" acting. It always comes back to acting doesnât it? Schwarzenegger officially announced via his Twitter that heâs throwing his hat back into the ring and now accepting job offers. Could one of them be the next Terminator film?
On February 10, Schwarzenegger tweeted, âExciting news. My friends at CAA have been asking me for 7 years when they can take offers seriously. Gave them the green light today.â Shortly after his announcement was made, news about a new Terminator film appeared on Deadline. It suggested that another film may be in the works with room for Schwarzenegger to reprise the role that made him a star.
The site claims that a 24 page treatment has been written for a sixth Terminator film thatâs rumored to be a directorâs vehicle for Justin Lin. William Wisher, who collaborated with James Cameron on Terminator 2 penned the treatment and a four-page concept outline. His version continued the post-apocalyptic battleground scenario from Terminator Salvation, but added in the element of time travel.
Time travel is always a great way to bring back characters who died in previous installments. They could revive the original Terminator and even Sarah Connor if they really wanted to.
What do you think? Should Schwarzenegger return to acting? Are you interested in seeing another Terminator film?
