Taylor Swift spent Valentine’s Day at a “pathetic single girls party,†of course
I have an honest question to ask you… I was debating whether or not to cover this Taylor Swift story (which I find rather boring) or a story about Michael Fassbender trying to produce a film about Irish Gods or something. Which story should I have chosen? My gut was telling me “FASSY. Always Fassy.†But I’ve gotten to the point where I want to save up Fassy stories until there’s a big one â€" like, he gets someone pregnant or he has a dong-slip on the red carpet (if only). So for now, let’s just deal with Swifty’s bland ass. Swifty and Zac Efron, voice stars of The Lorax, appear on today’s Ellen show. Ellen was asking both of them what they did for Valentine’s Day, and Swifty’s answer was just… typical.
Ellen: So what did you all do for Valentine’s Day together?
Taylor: He had plans on Valentine’s Day.
Ellen: What did you do?
Taylor: I actually had a pathetic single girls party. It was cool. That’s actually what it was called. I’m not saying that being single is pathetic. We’ve talked about this. I think it’s awesome. I had all my single girlfriends over and we ate junk food and just ate what ever we wanted and danced. We made these little profile cards about why we’re single.
Zac: That’s so different then what single guys do.
Ellen: What did you do for Valentine’s Day?
Zac: I went to a screening of a film that I did called “Liberal Arts.†Then cooked some dinner.
Ellen: With who?
Zac: A friend.
Ellen: What’s her name?
Zac: Ellen.
Ellen: That’s right we’re together. Ok, finally the truth comes out.

Ellen apparently jokes them about allegedly being “together.†Zac could do much worse than Swifty for a “girlfriend†you know? He’s currently “dating†Miss Eyebrows, Lily Collins, which… I mean… who believes that? Swifty and Efron, though? I could buy that. Unfortunately, I think Swifty has a taste for older, douchier gentlemen.
As for Swifty’s thing about her “pathetic single girls party†â€" do you think she believes single girls are truly pathetic? I don’t. I think it was just a joke aimed at the sisterhood, letting us know that she’s single and she relies on her girlfriends. It’s the kind of joke a sophomore in college would make about her V-Day plans too â€" and Swifty isn’t much older than that, so I guess it’s fine. But the problem I have is that I think Swifty’s current goal in life is “getting a boyfriend†and “spending time with a special boy.†Is it simply girlishness or is it immaturity?
And why does Swifty always look like she’s plotting?

So immature. Just because you don’t have a boyfriend (or do) doesn’t mean you HAVE to do something on every Valentines Day. She’s making too big a deal out of being single. There’ll be a thousand more VD’s to come, relax.

OH give Swifty a break!better alone than in bad Gyllencompany! I’m glad that such a young lady can be happy on her own unlike Needifer Lopez or Needystone who have to have a pennis by her side or they feel like they’re a nobody, GEEZ! Bad if you bang and bad if you frggin don’t. >:l

I think she’s sweet, a little typical and monotonous, but still sweet. I do think she does the side eye pose a lot though and it makes her look shifty.
